"After nearly three years of trying to conceive, including a year and a half of invasive and expensive fertility treatments, I found out I was finally pregnant after just my third acupuncture treatment. Following four failed IVF attempts, laparoscopic surgery, rounds of clomid, and countless diagnostic procedures, pokes, and prods, totaling tens of thousands of dollars and resulting in a frustrating diagnosis of ‘unexplained infertility,’ I needed a break- physically, financially, and most of all emotionally. I was not ready to give up trying to conceive, so on the advice of a friend, I decided to give acupuncture an honest attempt. I vowed to maintain weekly acupuncture treatments for 3 months. What struck me as the most comforting aspect of treatment was that upon my initial visit, Stephanie conducted a complete review of not only my medical history, but of my lifestyle, nutrition, exercise habits, sleep patterns, emotional state, and other factors that could have an impact on my overall health. And at each subsequent visit, she would follow-up with questions about any changes that may have occurred in the previous week. This was in stark contrast to all of the medical specialists I had seen previously, who only seemed to be concerned about family and past medical history but never once addressed lifestyle beyond asking if I smoked.
When I began acupuncture, Stephanie suggested that I incorporate Chinese herbs into my daily routine, and I decided on my own to entirely give up coffee (even decaf). Beyond those minor changes, I did nothing different. Then the day before my fourth treatment, I took a positive pregnancy test!! Since that time and through my entire first trimester, I have maintained weekly acupuncture treatments to assist with the pregnancy. It may be genetics or luck, but I never felt more than a little queasy through those first 12 weeks, when many women suffer from agonizing morning sickness."

"I was having very painful times with my lower back and hips. I tried cortisone shots, which worked for a period of time, and I saw a few chiropractors, but that did not seem to alleviate the pain. A friend of mine suggested acupuncture, and I took that with a little grain of salt thinking that acupuncture could not possibly take care of the pain.
I was totally wrong. I started with Stephanie about 2 months ago, and I now have very minimal pain in my hips and back.
